Hi there all.
I'm wondering this.
How would you go about making sandwitches for other people?
I was thinking about this while making sandwitches tonight.
What are your thoughts about this?
Umm, the same way you make them for yourself? LOL
You might want to elaborate a bit. Your question seems very basic and could be answered with common sense. You need to expound a bit so we can know what the problem is and provide you with helping advice.
as long as u got clean hands and clean stuff to prepare the meal with + things .. bread and stuff that are not bad, then i dont see any diference between making for someone else, than making for yourself.:)
Yes, I'd say exactly the same way you make them for yourself. If you're worried about touching things, anyone who makes a sandwich, whether sighted or blind, has to touch the bread, and the sandwich ingredients. In professional food service, the people behind the counter or back in the kitchens where gloves, but if you're among friends, that wouldn't be necessary. I'd say just wash your hands before making the food, and make sure you're using cleang dishes and utensils, but that's only common sense, again regardless of vision.
I agree with the post right above mine. Making sandwiches for other people is the same as making them for yourself. The standards don't change; no matter who you're making food for, the most important thing to me is keeping your hands clean, along with the space you're working in.
Hi, folks. It's come to my attention that this belongs in Daily Living, so that's where it's going. Smile.
All good tips. If you feel more comfortable, take any cold ingredients that are spreadable out of the fridge first. It'll make it easier to spread them if they're at room temperature. Just be sure not to keep dairy products like butter out too long and keep them covered as well.
if you are worried about making something that is visually pleasing, think about how they present them in restaurants and copy. make sure that both pieces of bread are facing the same way. sighted folk get real annoyed if they aren't for some reason. make sure that the ingredients are spread evenly. pass me a sandwich please. i'm starving
It's not only sightedd people that get annoyed. It drives me nuts if the brea isn't facing the same way. OCD here I come!
What a stupid question, you just make the damn sandwich
